Concord Junior School

Our school admission limit is set at 60 pupils per year group (split into two classes of 30).
Although we are an academy, school admissions for almost all schools in the city are managed by the Local Authority.

Links to the Local Authority Admission Policy are included below and parents/carers are advised to read this carefully when making their choice of school.

In the Autumn Term each year, there is an Open Evening for prospective pupils and parents/carers of Concord Junior School.

We run an extensive programme of transition events for pupils in Y2 throughout the year.  In July of each year, Year 2 pupils spend a number of days at Concord, taking lessons with both their existing and new teachers. This provides a staged transition between the two phases and has proved to be a highly successful programme over the years.

Children who have additional or special needs are taken through a comprehensive transition process to ensure they quickly settle into school and staff are fully aware of the individual needs.
