• Friday 9 June 2023 The History Van The History Van came into school to deliver an Ancient Greek day for Year 3. Throughout the day we took part in different activities: Inventing Waterwheels with Philo, Greek Theatre with Sophocles, Spinning Silk with Pamphile, Greek Medicine with Hippocrates, Greek Toys with Archimedes and Writing with Sophocles. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a great way to introduce our new history focus this half term.

• Monday 22 May 2023 Safeguarding Awareness Week Children across school will be taking part in a live lesson hosted by the NSPCC to highlight the importance of the rights children have, think about who their safe adults are and discover what support is available to them. Through a series of scenarios, they will explore how to develop healthy relationships, both online and offline.
• Friday 19 May 2023 Y6 Henry Moore Inspired Sculptures Y6 have been inspired by the work of Henry Moore to create their own clay sculptures.
• Tuesday 16 May 2023 Young Scientists This week in Design and Technology, Year 3 carried out an investigation on absorbency on different materials. They then considered the best material to use to build a flood proof home.
• Saturday 6 May 2023 Coronation Art Pupils from Concord, along with those from other local schools, had their wonderful artwork displayed in the Wincobank Community Centre to celebrate the Coronation this weekend. The public were invited to view the artwork as part of the local celebrations.
