Year 5 and 6

On Monday 19th May, children in Year 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to be engineers for the day. 

Visitors from Volker Rail led children through a range of activities, including building and budgeting a railway line, constructing circuits to power a fan, creating a moving model of a car and finally, deciding on the best layout of towers to keep a building upright.

Not only did the children thoroughly enjoy the whole event, but they also learnt that engineering covered a vast range of career opportunities.
